So, this is my life.
And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad.
And I'm still trying to figure out how that could be.
Ray’s show at the Grand Ole Opry last night was amazing. It’s probably the 2nd best show I’ve seen him play; best show: Ryman, Fall 2009.
Next stop: The Avett Brothers w/the everybodyfields. I love the Avetts, their music is good, I can daydream and sing along. the everybodyfields hold a special place in my heart because they stand for something much bigger than themselves: memories of a special time in my life, in a special place, with a special person. i’ve never seen them live, only jill andrews since she went solo. i dunno, it will probably be terribly beautiful, painful, emotional, and nostalgic all at once.
i’ll be there. with a smile, memories, hope for the future, and an appreciation for things that are greater than myself that i still do not understand.
